Founded in 1946 by Henri Chevalier, a stonemason and companion of the Tour de France, h. chevalier specialised from the outset in ashlar work and the restoration of historic monuments. The company has developed its activities to better serve its customers and support them in increasingly complex and important operations: general masonry, structural work, site logistics, heritage concrete, restoration of sculptures and decorations.

Our core ashlar business has opened the door to the extensive renovation of old buildings, including structural work and masonry on complex sites.

Located in a former 19th-century foundry on the hillside of Suresnes (92), the company is close to its worksites and its customers. h.chevalier puts its know-how, determination and love of a job well done at their service to ensure the success of their projects.

Site safety is our priority

Site safety is one of h.chevalier’s priorities. To take action on this essentially human lever, the company relies on a triptych of actions deployed on all sites: welcoming each newcomer to a worksite; conducting a visit; leading a quarter-hour safety session.

Monthly monitoring of these actions enables us to build up indicators and review them regularly. In this way, the effectiveness of the prevention system is constantly assessed to ensure that it is in line with the company’s activities.
